Garfield County, WA- Released by the Asotin County Fire District #1
“Firefighters from Asotin County Fire District #1 were called to aid in a Garfield County wildland fire Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded just after 1:30pm to an out of control fire north west of Dodge Junction near highway 12 and highway 127.
The fire was burning near some power generating windmills in crop and range land. Light winds fanned the flames. Fire Crews from Garfield, Columbia and Astin County were able to contain the fire in about 3 hours. The fire was estimated at around 200 acres. The cause of the fire was a combine harvesting crops”.
