(Lewiston, ID) – A strong opening meet for Warrior Cross Country resulted in the first weekly honor in the career of local product Grace Tiegs. The junior from Nezperce, Idaho, was voted the Cascade Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Tiegs solidified her spot as the top returner for No. 14 LC State Women’s Cross Country with the top NAIA finish at the Clash of the Inland Northwest. The junior placed 36th overall with a career-best 4k time of 15:03.91. She led the team to a fifth-place finish at the meet.

The Warriors are back in action on Sept. 13 when Washington State hosts the Cougar Classic in Colfax.
