(Moscow, Idaho) — For the 21st consecutive year, the City of Moscow has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). This prestigious award recognizes the City’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended September 30th, 2023.
The City’s financial report was judged by an impartial panel and was found to meet the high standards of the program, demonstrating a “spirit of full disclosure” and clearly communicating its financial story to motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. It signifies a significant accomplishment by the City of Moscow and its management.
