(Kamiah, ID) The Kamiah School District reports that, on Tuesday, officials were made aware of an abduction attempt on a student after they were dropped off at their bus stop on Woodland Road last Thursday, January 16.

According to the Kamiah School District, as the student was walking to their house, out of view of the school bus driver, they were approached by a man in a side by side and asked to get into the vehicle. The student was reportedly able to run away and escape.

Authorities have been notified and are actively investigating this incident, according to school officials.
