Sperber Selected as Next Superintendent of Lewiston School District

LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston School District Board of Directors has voted to elect Tim Sperber as the 17th Superintendent as the Lewiston Independent School District.

“Tim will continue the great trajectory of academic excellence that Lance has built.” said Board President Staci Baldwin.

A district statement says Sperber has played a pivotal role in the ongoing success of the district. He has been with the district for 19 years, the last four of those as the secondary principal of Sacajawea Middle School. “His deep commitment to the district’s academic growth and success, coupled with his extensive leadership roles in the district and involvement in shaping our educational programs, make him an exceptional candidate to lead the district forward,” says the statement.

Sperber earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Washington State University. He joined the district in July 2006 as the Coordinator of Tammany High School. The following year, he transitioned to Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Lewiston High School. In July 2012, he was appointed Elementary Principal at Whitman, and in July 2021, he assumed the role of Secondary Principal at Sacajawea Middle School.

Tim holds an Idaho Education Credential with endorsements in School Principal (Pre-K12), English (6-12), Social Studies (6-12), and History (6-12).
