AIRWAY HEIGHTS, WA – A man was arrested on March 11 after officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Northern Heights Apartment Complex and found a 5-year-old child with significant injuries.

According to the Airway Heights Police Department, officers were dispatched around 5 p.m. after a neighbor called 911, reporting sounds of screaming, crying, and banging from a nearby apartment. Upon arrival, officers investigated and discovered the injured child, who was placed in protective custody.

Airway Heights detectives took over the investigation. Child Protective Services was contacted and responded to the scene, assuming custody of the child. The child was transported to Sacred Heart for treatment.

The child’s father, identified as 27-year-old Connor W. C. M-Bone, was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of Assault of a Child in the Second Degree.

Authorities stated the investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
