Lewiston Fire Department Responds to Porch Fire on 10th Ave, One Resident Injured

LEWISTON, ID – At 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, the Lewiston Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1726 10th Ave. Upon arrival, crews found an exterior fire on the back porch.

Firefighters extinguished the flames within approximately five minutes. Crews remained on-site for an additional hour to ensure the fire had not spread into the home’s interior or attic. The department dispatched three structural engines, two ambulances, two chief officers, and one fire inspector, totaling 16 personnel. Clarkston Fire also responded with four personnel under the automatic aid agreement.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Estimated damages to the structure and its contents are $15,000.

One resident sustained smoke inhalation and minor burns and was transported by family to urgent care for further evaluation.
