KOOSKIA ID — Emergency responders were dispatched Thursday afternoon to a commercial vehicle crash with entrapment near milepost 95 on U.S. Highway 12, just outside of Lowell.

According to Kooskia Emergency Services, the crash occurred shortly after noon on April 10. Kooskia Ambulance, the Kooskia Ambulance Rescue Unit, Kooskia Fire Department, and the Lowell Quick Response Unit were all called to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle over an embankment. The driver had already exited the vehicle with the help of bystanders but remained at the crash site.

Using rope rescue equipment, emergency crews safely brought the patient up to the roadway, where they were transported by Kooskia Ambulance to a medical facility for treatment of moderate injuries.

Kooskia Emergency Services extended thanks to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police for their assistance at the scene.
