Bonneville County, ID – The Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:52 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The incident took place on northbound Interstate 15 near milepost 114, just south of Idaho Falls.
According to officials, a 2000 Mercury Cougar, occupied by two juveniles, was traveling northbound when it veered into the median, rolled, and came to rest in the southbound lanes of the interstate.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Authorities confirmed that both individuals were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The Idaho State Police were assisted at the scene by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Police Department, Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Idaho State Police.
