OROFINO, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a single vehicle injury crash that occurred Tuesday night on Grangemont Road, northeast of Orofino.
According to police, at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 54-year-old male from Lewiston was traveling westbound on Grangemont Road in a Ford F250. Near 3339 Grangemont Road, the man drove off the road and down a steep embankment. The truck came to rest against a tree. The man, who has not been identified by police, sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The roadway was blocked for approximately 4 hours while the man was extricated from the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
