PULLMAN, WA – Kamiak Butte County Park North of Pullman will likely be closed for several weeks this season.

The Whitman County Parks Department needs to repair and upgrade the park’s water system in May and June. At some point during that work schedule officials expect to completely close the park for over a month. The project will also involve area closures inside the park and the water system will be shut down.

This county project means that both of the popular butte parks in Whitman County will be closed at times this season. Steptoe Butte State Park North of Colfax is closed for paving until October.
