WALLA WALLA, WA – On the evening of April 26, 2025, just before 7:00 p.m., a deputy from the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driving without license plates. The driver, later identified as Skylar Glasby, refused to stop, initiating a pursuit.

Due to the suspect’s reckless driving and concern for public safety, deputies made the decision to discontinue the pursuit. However, the situation remained active as neighboring agencies, including the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Patrol, were monitoring the incident and quickly joined the effort.

Columbia County deputies later located the suspect vehicle, but again, Glasby attempted to flee recklessly. For the continued safety of the public, Columbia County deputies also terminated their pursuit. Shortly thereafter, the suspect lost control and crashed into private property.

Law enforcement agencies from Walla Walla County, Columbia County, Washington State Patrol, and the Walla Walla Police Department coordinated a search effort. A perimeter was established around the crash site, and Walla Walla Police Department’s K9 Unit, including Canine Hoss, was deployed.

Despite an initial head start, Glasby was quickly located hiding inside a nearby garbage container. He was taken into custody without further incident. Authorities seized the suspect’s vehicle pending a search warrant and booked Glasby into custody, where he now faces numerous charges across two counties.

The Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office noted that if the suspect had complied during the initial traffic stop, the consequences would have been far less severe. Glasby was already wanted for an outstanding arrest warrant and was driving with a suspended license. Additional felony charges related to his attempts to flee and reckless endangerment are now pending.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed relief that no members of the public or law enforcement officers were injured during the incidents.

Anyone who witnessed the pursuit or was impacted by the suspect’s reckless driving is encouraged to contact Deputy Parris through dispatch at 509-527-3265 and reference case number 2025-3930.
