Dayton Driver Fell Asleep Before Crash Near Prescott

PRESCOTT, WA — A three-vehicle collision occurred Tuesday morning, April 29, on State Route 124 near Lyons Ferry Road, approximately eight miles west of Prescott.

According to the Washington State Patrol, three eastbound vehicles were involved. Two of the vehicles had stopped for traffic when the third vehicle, a silver 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, struck the second vehicle, causing it to collide with the third. The driver of the first vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Braylen C. Bromiley of Dayton, Washington, reportedly fell asleep before the crash. Bromiley was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. He was cited for negligent driving in the second degree.

The driver of the second vehicle, 40-year-old Ricardo Rodriguez Medina of Pasco, Washington, was injured and transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center. His passenger, 47-year-old Jose Sanchez Cisneros of Kennewick, Washington, was not injured. Both were wearing seatbelts.

The third vehicle, a white 2012 Whit-Log trailer driven by 33-year-old John D. Flynn Buchanan of Lewiston, Idaho, sustained reportable damage but was driven from the scene. Buchanan was also uninjured and was wearing a seatbelt.

No drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision. Both the Volkswagen Jetta and the 2004 Honda Accord involved were totaled and towed from the scene.
