2025 Cascade Conference Baseball Tournament Preview

CORVALLIS, OR – The eagerly awaited 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Baseball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, begins on Friday. The All-Cascade Conference teams will be announced later today.

The five seeds were finalized after the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday. The double-elimination conference tournament takes place on May 2-5, hosted by the regular season champions, University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, B.C., at Tourmaline West Stadium.

The No. 24-ranked British Columbia Thunderbirds secured the outright CCC regular season title and shared the top spot with Oregon Tech in 2023. Information on the tournament, including the bracket, is available HERE.

Game 1- #4 Bushnell University vs. #5 College of Idaho

Defending tournament champion Bushnell concluded CCC play with a 22-15 record. College of Idaho finished the conference season at 14-23. The Beacons won three of four games over The Yotes during the season. Bushnell’s bullpen leads the conference in saves (16) and the staff has limited opponents to the lowest batting average (.261) in the CCC. College of Idaho ranks second in the conference in total strikeouts (384).

Game 2- #2 Lewis-Clark State College vs. #3 Oregon Tech

Lewis-Clark State College finished conference action with a 28-9 record. Oregon Tech ended with a 27-10 CCC record. Both teams received votes in the final 2025 NAIA rating. The teams split their regular-season series, which included a marathon 17-inning game in which the Owls outlasted the Warriors. LC State leads the CCC in slugging percentage (.546) and home runs (78), and boasts the lowest team ERA (4.81), fewest runs allowed (251) and most strikeouts (391) on the mound. Oregon Tech tops the conference in batting average (.330), on-base percentage (.445) and runs scored (464), and also leads defensively with the highest fielding percentage (.979) and fewest errors (36).

Game 3- #1 University of British Columbia vs. Winner Game 1

British Columbia earned the conference title with a 29-8 record. UBC leads the conference in several offensive categories, including hits (558), RBI (407), home runs (78) and total bases (947).

All games will be streamed by British Columbia with live stats available. Brian Danner is in Vancouver and will carry the radio broadcast on KOZE.

The winner of the tournament will earn the CCC’s automatic bid to the national tournament. If LC State wins, the runner up will earn the bid. The NAIA Opening Rounds will run May 12-15 at various campus sites, including Harris Field.
