LC State Women’s Track and Field Bolsters Roster with Incoming Trio

LEWISTON, ID – LC State Women’s Track and Field welcomed a trio of incoming Warrior with its latest signings, announced on Wednesday. Olivia Yetter, Lilly Gilbert and Emery Molina will join the program in the fall.

Olivia Yetter – Clark Fork, Idaho/Clark Fork Junior/Senior High School

Yetter is a senior at Clark Fork High School where she specializes in sprints and hurdles. She ranks fourth all-time at Clark Fork in the 100m hurdles (17.70) and 300m hurdles (51.82) and is eighth in the 200m (30.03).

“Olivia’s personality and desire to get better is pretty infectious,” coach Mike Collins said. “Another one of those regional small-town kids that I love to recruit. We believe that she has a lot of potential and with her energy, once we get her into the weight room and she starts to adapt to the training, she will start to surprise some people, including herself. Looking forward to seeing her growth as a Warrior.”

Lilly Gilbert – Grace, Idaho/Grace High School

Gilbert will compete in both track and field and cross country for LC State starting in the fall. In her senior cross country season, Gilbert was fourth at districts and 14th at State. She placed third in the 2-mile run at districts in her junior track season. She helped her team to a district title and State Runner-Up finish in cross country this season.

“Lilly is another small-town kid from Eastern Idaho that I am excited about,” Collins said. “Based on what her coach has told me, she has just now started to take her running seriously, which is easy to see as she has improved in every single meet and every single race she has competed in this year. We hope that this trend will continue in the fall. A great student and very enjoyable to be around. I have no doubt she will make her team better in more ways than just running. A great student as well. She is the total package.”

Emery Molina – Endicott, Wash./LaCrosse High School

Molina comes to LC State from Endicott, Wash., where she competes at LaCrosse High School. She competes in a variety of events with a focus on field events. Molina is the 2024 1B State Champion in the pole vault and placed twice in both the high jump and the pole vault. She has career bests of 5’ in the high jump, 8’6” in the pole vault and 15’1” in the long jump.

“How many times do I have to say it, a small-town kid with a lot of potential. Really seems to like the long and high jumps, but may have some all-around talent as well,” Collins said. “Will see where she wants to go with it, but she is ready to soak it up and excited to get in with a group to get better. Will be fun to work with her and see her as she improves this year. Another great student that will represent our program well in all areas.”
