Arrest Handcuffs

CHUBBUCK, ID – A former employee of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 has been arrested and charged in connection with the possession and distribution of child sexual exploitation material, according to Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, investigators with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested 43-year-old William Strength of Chubbuck. He faces eight counts of Possession and two counts of Distribution of child sexual exploitation material (CSAM).

A spokesperson for School District 25 confirmed that Strength did not have direct contact with students in his role with the district. His employment was terminated following his arrest.

The arrest was made in coordination with multiple agencies, including the Chubbuck Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Homeland Security (HSI). Strength was arraigned in court on April 30, where the State requested $300,000 bail. The court ultimately set bail at $50,000.

“These allegations highlight the importance of our ongoing partnerships with law enforcement and school districts,” said Attorney General Labrador. “We remain committed to supporting these investigations and protecting children from online threats.”

The ICAC Task Force urges anyone with information related to the exploitation of children to contact their local police, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

Strength is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
