PULLMAN, WA – The 33-year-old Pullman man accused of raping a young girl has pleaded guilty and now faces the possibility of life in prison.

Lane Taylor Hunting Smith pleaded guilty on Friday to four counts of 1st degree felony child rape in Whitman County Superior Court. Smith now faces up to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Prosecutors are recommending that Smith be eligible for parole after 20 years when he is sentenced next month.

Smith was arrested by Pullman Police in January after receiving a report that he had raped a young girl multiple times and interviewed his victim. The case evidence includes videos on Smith’s phone of the rapes.

Smith is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13th
