LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College business professor Rachel Kaitz was recently elected to the International Accreditation Council for Business Education Board of Directors.
Kaitz began serving her first three-year term in April 2025 representing the Northwest Regional Assembly. The Board of Directors is composed of the five executive officers of the board, an elected board member from each of the regional assemblies as defined by the Board of Directors, and two members-at-large. Public members may also be included. They are responsible for the general governance and oversight of the affairs of IACBE and for establishing the policies and procedures essential to accomplishing the mission and goals of the assembly. Kaitz previously served two cycles as region seven Secretary, Vice President and President, and has organized four regional conferences in Coeur d’Alene.
IACBE is a global programmatic accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Its mission is to advance academic quality in business programs through evidence-based accreditation that encourages institutions to build unique educational models to reflect their mission and vision. LC State’s Business & Computer Science Division was approved for specialized reaccreditation from
IACBE through July 2031 in fall 2024.
Kaitz has been a professor at LC State since 2009, which is when she became involved with IACBE. She has a degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and public relations from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a doctorate in business administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
