GARDEN VALLEY, ID – A tragic house fire claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy late Sunday night in a rural community located about 35 miles north of Boise.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 4, the Boise County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire at 12 Summer Drive in Garden Valley, Idaho. When emergency crews arrived on the scene, the residence was fully engulfed in flames, according to officials.
Fire departments from Garden Valley, Horseshoe Bend, and Lowman responded to the blaze and worked to contain the fire. The teenage victim could not be saved from the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Boise County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Idaho State Fire Marshal.
