Both Drivers Dead After two Motorcycles Collide on Southern Idaho Highway

TWIN FALLS, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a two-motorcycle fatal crash that occurred on Wednesday in southern Idaho.

According to police, at about 7:18 p.m. on May 7, a 23-year-old male from Twin Falls was driving eastbound, south of Twin Falls, on Highway 74 at Sommers Street on a 2005 Yamaha Motorcycle. The Yamaha was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Sommers Street when it collided with a 2024 KTM motorcycle driving eastbound on Highway 74. The KTM was driven by a 25-year-old male, from Buhl, ID. Both drivers were wearing helmets.

Both drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 3 hours to allow emergency services to assist those involved.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
