YAKIMA, WA — In the early morning hours of May 10, 2025, at approximately 1:06 a.m., Yakima Police officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim at an apartment in the 1100 block of North 4th Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 37-year-old male inside the apartment. They immediately began lifesaving measures, assisted shortly after by medical personnel. Despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Yakima Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded and are actively investigating the incident as a homicide.
