WALLA WALLA COUNTY, WA – A fatal traffic collision occurred Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, on State Route 124 at Milepost 10, approximately 10 miles northeast of Burbank, resulting in one death and one injury.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash took place at 11:52 a.m. when a black 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, traveling eastbound, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound freight truck and utility trailer.
The driver of the Chevrolet Traverse, 50-year-old Amanda L. Wolf of Burbank, WA, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that she was not wearing a seatbelt. Next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the freight truck, 34-year-old Bachitar Singh of Santa Clara, CA, sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital. He was also reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Both the Chevrolet Traverse and the 2019 Freightliner truck were totaled in the collision. The utility trailer attached to the truck sustained reportable damage. All vehicles involved were part of the Casaday Beeline 1 company.
The cause of the crash has been identified as crossing the center line, though the involvement of drugs or alcohol remains unknown at this time.
The incident is being investigated under case number 25-009047. No charges have been filed as of the latest report.
