Woman Charged With Felony Burglary After Clarkston Walmart Theft

CLARKSTON, WA – A Clarkston woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly stealing merchandise from Walmart while having an active trespass order from the store.

According to police reports, officers responded to the store on 5th Street around 1:40 p.m. following a call regarding a shoplifter. Sharbi D. Fowler, 48, of Clarkston, was reportedly observed placing merchandise into a bag while inside the store and continued adding items as she moved through the aisles.

Authorities stated Fowler then bypassed all point-of-sale registers without attempting to pay and exited into the vestibule area between the store’s two doors, where she was stopped by staff. Fowler produced a receipt from a few days earlier, but it did not correspond to the items she was carrying.

During the investigation, officers confirmed Fowler had an active and indefinite trespass order from Walmart, initially issued in 2016. Officers advised Fowler that entering the store while trespassed and committing theft constituted burglary. She was taken into custody and transported to the Asotin County Jail without further incident.

The total value of merchandise taken was reported as $228.14.  Fowler was booked into the Asotin County Jail.
