SPOKANE, WA – The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating an altercation that resulted in the deaths of two individuals Tuesday evening.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., Spokane Police received multiple 911 calls reporting an altercation in the 3300 block of East 11th Avenue. Callers reported a confrontation involving at least two individuals and described weapons including a knife and a firearm.
Patrol officers arrived within minutes, secured the area, and provided medical assistance to those involved. Despite efforts by police and emergency personnel, two individuals died from their injuries at the scene.
A third individual is cooperating with the investigation, according to Spokane Police. Authorities stated that, at this time, it appears all parties involved have been accounted for. No other injuries were reported.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the names of the deceased and the official cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains active, and detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the altercation, including the relationships between those involved.
