Additional Outage Planned for Clearwater Power Members on May 31

LEWISTON, ID – Clearwater Power Company has announced a planned power outage for more than 1,200 members on Saturday, May 31. The outage will begin at 7 a.m. and is expected to last until approximately 7 p.m.

The affected areas include:

  • Communities around Uniontown and Genesee, extending south along the Idaho-Washington border

  • Top of the Lewiston Hill

  • Port of Wilma and areas near Clarkston

  • Asotin, Anatone, and surrounding areas

  • Northeast corner of Oregon

The outage is necessary for the Bonneville Power Administration to complete repairs on equipment at the Port of Wilma substation. This will be the second extended outage this month for members in these areas.

“We know these extended outages impact our members and member businesses,” said Bob Pierce, Chief Operations Officer for Clearwater Power. “While there’s never an ideal time for an outage, efforts are made to minimize the impact on members, while also allowing line crews to conduct the work in the safest and most efficient way.”

Members with questions can contact Clearwater Power at 208-743-1501.
