ASOTIN, WA – A Clarkston woman was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges of stalking and violating a court-issued no-contact order following an investigation by local law enforcement agencies.

Linda L. Penne, 54, of Clarkston, was taken into custody at the Asotin County Courthouse on May 13. She faces 21 counts of violating a no-contact order and one count of felony stalking, according to court records.The charges stem from reports of ongoing harassment and stalking against an individual who is the protected party under a no-contact order issued in 2009.

According to the documents, Penne allegedly made repeated attempts to contact the protected individual through social media posts, while also being seen near the person’s residence and allegedly following them to various locations.

Investigators documented 21 separate posts on Penne’s social media accounts between February and April 2025. The posts allegedly referenced or directly addressed the protected party, included invitations to meet in person, and contained statements suggesting a romantic relationship. Officers noted the use of social media as a means to make indirect contact, despite the long-standing court order prohibiting such actions.

In one social media post, Penne allegedly posted, “Happy Valentines Day! Love you so much.  Always and forever.”  She also allegedly included a picture of flowers outside of the victim’s residence in the post.

According to the documents, law enforcement officers had previously warned Penne against visiting the protected individual’s residence or making any type of contact. Despite these warnings, she allegedly continued her online posts and attempts to initiate contact.

Penne was located at the courthouse in Asotin during an unrelated court matter and was arrested without incident. She was transported to the Asotin County Jail.  Penne appeared in court on Wednesday where bond was set at $20,000.
