
LEWISTON, ID – In recognition of National Public Works Week, the City of Lewiston will host its annual Public Works Expo on Thursday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds.
The event will showcase the people, tools, and systems that support essential public services in the region. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore equipment, watch demonstrations, and learn how city and regional crews keep the community running smoothly.
Participating organizations include the City of Lewiston, City of Clarkston, Asotin County, Asotin County PUD, Avista, Lewiston Orchards Irrigation District, Sunshine Disposal, Clearwater Composting, and Idaho Digline.
Expo highlights include:

Wastewater jet cleaning and underground utility video inspections

GIS and GPS system demonstrations

Stormwater quality models and water system displays

Equipment and signage used in day-to-day public works
The theme for this year’s observance is “People, Purpose, Presence,” celebrating the contributions of public works professionals nationwide.
