Lewiston man Arrested for Alleged Robbery, Strangulation and Battery

LEWISTON, ID – A Lewiston man has been arrested on multiple felony charges following two reported incidents earlier this week involving alleged physical assaults and robbery.

According to court documents, Calub C. Largent, 30, faces charges of robbery, attempted strangulation, and aggravated battery after a series of events occurring on May 12 and May 13, 2025. He was taken into custody on May 14.

Authorities allege that on May 12, Largent assaulted a woman inside her apartment by placing her

in a headlock and choking her to the point she could not breathe, reportedly for over a minute. The woman described the incident as unprovoked, stating that Largent made a comment about repeating past actions during the alleged assault.

The following day, Largent reportedly confronted the same woman, convincing her to accompany him in his vehicle to a local convenience store. During the trip, the woman told officers that Largent demanded money from her, brandished a large knife, and struck her with the handle before cutting her leg. The affidavit states that the woman escaped or was pushed from the vehicle, after which Largent allegedly took her bag and approximately $150 in cash.

Law enforcement documented visible injuries on the woman, including a thigh laceration, bruising, and redness consistent with her statements.

On May 14, Lewiston Police officers located Largent near a camper trailer in the 800 block of 28th Avenue North.  Officers noted that Largent made sporadic statements regarding the incidents but did not provide clear explanations.

Largent was transported to the Nez Perce County Jail and booked on the charges of robbery, attempted strangulation, aggravated battery, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He appeared in court on Thursday, bond was set at $300,000.
