MOSCOW, ID – Members of University of Idaho’s chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) earned national recognition at the 2025 National Leadership Conference, held May 7-11 in Orlando, Florida. The conference brought together over 6,500 students and educators from more than 400 chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico.
U of I students earned top 10 national placements in five events, including three first-place awards:
- Colton Moore, senior, of Sagle: First place in Advanced Desktop Publishing and first place in Graphic Design Promotion.
- Rylee Wimer, junior, of Lewiston: Third place in Digital Media Production and seventh place in Advanced Interview Skills.
- Moore, Wimer and Sophia Gill, sophomore, of Lewiston: First place in Podcast Production Team.
“These students exemplify the creativity, professionalism and dedication we strive to develop through our BPA chapter,” said Carol Billing, chapter advisor and professor in U of I’s College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. “Their success on a national stage highlights the strength of our programs and the talent of our students.”
The BPA National Leadership Conference serves as the pinnacle of the organization’s year, giving students the chance to compete in over 100 events, attend leadership workshops and network with peers and industry professionals.
