MARION, IN – The 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships kicks off on May 21 in Marion, Ind., on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan. Five LC State individuals and a relay will be in action at the three-day meet.

Perry Severijnse opens competition for the Warriors on Wednesday in the men’s javelin. The sophomore is the ninth seed in the event and enters with a career-best mark of 61.16m. The javelin will take place at 1 p.m. PT.

Three individuals and a relay will compete on Thursday. Griffen Parsells, ranked fourth in the 800m, and London Kirk, ranked 22nd in the 400m, will run their preliminary races. Parsells will race at 11:50 a.m. PT with Kirk at 1:20 p.m. PT.

Sydnie Zywina will wrap up her career in the triple jump. She ranks 10th in the NAIA heading into the event and will jump starting at 2:30 p.m. PT.

The men’s 4x400m relay team that will likely feature Jordan Castillo, Preston Cooper, Kirk and Trenton Johnson, will run its prelim race on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. PT. The group is seeded 29th in the field.

Johnson will compete in the men’s triple jump on Friday. The junior ranks 19th in the NAIA and is scheduled to jump at 10:30 a.m. PT.

Should the advance, LC State will compete in the finals of the 400m, 800m and 4x400m relay on Friday throughout the day.
