KOOSKIA, ID – A Kooskia man was arrested early Tuesday morning after an Idaho County Sheriff’s deputy discovered him unconscious in a running vehicle during a routine patrol.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 1:43 a.m. on May 20 along Toll Road. The deputy stopped to check the welfare of the driver and observed signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and the driver was taken into custody.
Zane Fleury, 58, was arrested on two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine. He also faces several misdemeanor charges, including driving under the influence, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, and being under the influence of a controlled substance in a public place.
The sheriff’s office stated that the arrest is part of routine enforcement activity and noted that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
