LEWISTON, ID – Jeremiah Robbins will return to Lewis-Clark State College as the 12th head coach in Warrior baseball history ahead of the 2025-26 school year. Robbins led LC State to NAIA national championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and was inducted into the LC State Athletics Hall of Fame in April.
The news was announced at a press conference on Tuesday morning at the Center for Arts & History, with the exhibit “The Road to Lewiston: A Journey Through the NAIA World Series & LC State’s Legacy” as the backdrop.
Robbins rejoins the team after launching and leading the baseball program at Umpqua Community College from 2019-24. He replaces Jake Taylor, who led the Warriors from 2019-2025.
“With three national titles and a sterling reputation already established at LC State and within the NAIA, Jeremiah Robbins is uniquely qualified to, once again, lead the Warriors,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said. “We’re excited he has decided to return and look forward to our baseball program’s continued success.”
Robbins led LC State to three Avista NAIA World Series titles and five championship games in his six years at the helm from 2013-18. He posted a 270-71 (.792) winning percentage. After national runner-up finishes in his first two seasons, the Warriors won three consecutive national titles during 2015-17. In his final year, the Warriors finished third.
During his time, Robbins received numerous honors. Twice he was named the NAIA Coach of the Year, and in each of the three championship seasons he was honored as the American Baseball Coaches Association NAIA Coach of the Year. He was named the ABCA’s West Region Coach of the Year four times and was the NAIA West’s Coach of the Year twice.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeremiah Robbins back to LC State,” Athletic Director Ronnie Palmer said. “His legacy here speaks for itself; national titles, a relentless commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of what it means to wear the Warrior uniform. Coach Robbins’ return brings not only championship experience but also a passion for developing young men on and off the field. This is a proud day for Warrior baseball and for our entire community.”
In Robbins’ final year, the baseball program earned the NAIA’s F. Hank Burbridge Champions of Character award for sportsmanship and commitment to the community. The baseball team participated in campus activities and took part in several community events, including helping area Little League teams.
“It is an incredible honor to be a part of the Warrior team,” Robbins said. “A special thank you to President Pemberton and Athletic Director Ronnie Palmer for entrusting me to lead the baseball program. Lewis-Clark State College and the LC Valley will always be one of one. I look forward to continuing the storied success of Lewis-Clark State baseball. Go Warriors.”
During his time away from LC State, Robbins helped rebuild the Umpqua Community College baseball program and assisted in the fundraising of nearly $1 million to build a baseball facility.
Before coming to Lewiston in 2013, he served as the head coach at NCAA Division II Western Oregon University from 2006-12 where he helped the Wolves qualify for regionals five times and win seven Great Northwest Athletic Conference titles.
Robbins will officially begin his second tenure at LC State on May 22.
