Rollover Crash Shuts Down I-90 East of Coeur d’Alene

COEUR D’ALENE, ID — A rollover crash has led to the complete closure of eastbound Interstate 90 near milepost 29 at the top of 4th of July Pass, roughly 14 miles east of Coeur d’Alene.

According to the Idaho State Police, the single-vehicle rollover occurred in a construction zone where the interstate was already reduced to one lane. The crash has resulted in a full blockage of the roadway, rendering it impassable at this time.

Emergency personnel are currently on scene working to clear the area and reopen the highway. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the interstate is deemed safe for travel.

Drivers are urged to remain patient and exercise caution when traveling in nearby areas impacted by detours. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
