LEWISTON, ID — A man sustained severe injuries Sunday morning after being ejected from his vehicle during a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 95.
According to the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 10:43 a.m. near mile marker 316 northbound. A Jeep Wrangler left the roadway, struck a hillside, continued along the slope for some distance, then overturned. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and transported to the hospital with very serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Idaho State Police for their assistance.
Officials reminded the public to buckle up, avoid impaired or fatigued driving, obey speed limits, and stay alert behind the wheel — particularly during the “100 deadliest days” between Memorial Day and Labor Day, a period known for an increase in serious and fatal crashes across the state.
