The incoming class includes: Jordynn Albright, Alba Carpena, Kendall Focht, Kadence Moore, Michaela Romine, Mikale Roy, Helena Stewart and Ashlyn Watt.

“International recruiting not only elevates the level of play on the court, but also provides an enriching experience inside our locker room,” Palmer explained. “Alba is a dedicated student and athlete coming from Spain. She has hit along the entire net during her years playing club and we are looking forward to her versatility contributing to our offense.”

She cares deeply about building relationships with teammates while relentlessly contributing the goals of the team.”

“I love recruiting small-town athletes that come from hard-working families and that is Michaela Romine,” Palmer said. “She has a great volleyball foundation after being coached by Marni McMahon, one of the top coaches in the region, and we can’t wait to get on the court with her.”
Mikale Roy – Meridian, Idaho/Owyhee High School
A standout two-sport athlete, Roy has been instrumental in the success of both the volleyball and basketball programs at Owyhee since the school’s opening. As a captain and outside hitter, she helped lead the Storm to back-to-back conference championships and earned a spot on the 2024 Idaho All-State Volleyball Team, recognizing her as one of the state’s top players.

Earlier in her senior season, Roy was named the AVCA/MaxPreps National High School Player of the Week, which highlighted her as one of the nation’s elite players.
“I don’t have enough good things to say about Mikale,” Palmer said. “She was our second commitment in the 2025 class and another cornerstone piece to the bigger picture of LC State Volleyball. She comes to us with extensive club experience paired with establishing a culture of excellence at Owyhee, both providing her an outstanding foundation to come in and make an impact immediately as a Warrior.”

“Helena comes to us from one of the premier volleyball clubs in the country,” Palmer said. “She has had to overcome adversity to develop into a great middle blocker and we are excited to see her skillset translate to the collegiate level quickly. We are also excited to see her flourish in the LC State community as a student and athlete who cares deeply about other people.”

Watt prepped at North Clackamas High School and earned first-team all-league honors three times. She helped the team place sixth at State in 2022 and was named the Defensive MVP twice. Watt earned State All-Tournament team honors as a senior.
“Ashlyn is another addition to our highly competitive group of defenders,” Palmer said. “Her recruiting process included multiple NWAC coaches calling to let us know about a libero from Mt. Hood. We were able to get her on campus and it was clear that she knows how to defend. We are looking forward to seeing her make big plays in the gym and continue developing in all areas of her play.”
