NAMPA, ID — The Idaho Department of Education, in partnership with the College of Western Idaho, is continuing registration for the 2025 Idaho Indian Education Summit, scheduled for June 12–13 at the CWI campus in Nampa.
This year’s summit, themed “United Voices Through Indian Education,” will focus on best practices to support American Indian students across the state. Educators will have access to plenary sessions with regional experts and targeted breakout sessions aimed at equipping them with practical classroom strategies.
Special guests include Randy’L Teton, author and official model for the U.S. Golden Dollar coin, and motivational speaker Brian Frejo, along with other scholars specializing in student success.
“A great way to ensure that we’re supporting Idaho’s American Indian students is to support the educators who serve them in the classroom,” said State Superintendent Debbie Critchfield. “This summit represents a hands-on opportunity to really drill into and refine the skills and knowledge needed to ensure success for these students in the classroom, in college and careers and beyond.”
Registration is $100, with an additional $50 option for in-service credit through Lewis-Clark State College. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days. The deadline to register is June 8.
