BOISE, ID — Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced a judgment against Coast to Coast Carports, Inc., following allegations of deceptive business practices involving custom garages and carports.

The judgment, entered in March 2025, follows a lawsuit filed by the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division in December 2024. The complaint alleged that the company accepted payments from Idaho consumers for custom-made structures, failed to deliver the products, and in some cases delivered faulty buildings without offering repairs or refunds.

Under the terms of the judgment, Coast to Coast Carports is prohibited from conducting any construction-related business in Idaho. The company has also been ordered to pay $22,500 in civil penalties and $26,745.37 in restitution to affected consumers.

“This case sends a clear message to out-of-state contractors who operate dishonestly in Idaho,” said Labrador. “We will take legal action to protect Idaho consumers and ensure accountability in the construction marketplace.”

Consumers seeking contractor services are encouraged to research business profiles through the Better Business Bureau, check for complaints or disciplinary actions with the Idaho Department of Occupational and Professional Licenses, and ensure the contractor holds proper insurance and bonding.

Idahoans who believe they have been affected by similar construction-related issues can file a complaint with the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. A complaint form is available on the division’s website.
