KANSAS CITY, MO – Charlie Updegrave capped his illustrious LC State career with an ABCA/Rawlings NAIA Second-Team All-American nod, announced by the national office on Wednesday. The Oakridge, Ore., native broke the Cascade Conference career home run record during the 2025 season and ended his Warrior tenure as one of the best power hitters in program history.
Updegrave signed with the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League and made his debut on Tuesday. He went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
“Congratulations to Charlie on this honor,” LC State coach Jeremiah Robbins said. Robbins coached Updegrave at Umpqua Community College. “His dedication and work ethic as a student-athlete at LC State is unmatched. He exemplifies the Warrior Way.”
Updegrave made Cascade Conference history and became the all-time leader in home runs in the conference. With a Cascade-leading 21 home runs this season, the senior had 46 in his career, which is a CCC record. He led the CCC in RBI (72) and total bases (164). The senior led the Warriors in hits (82), doubles (19) and slugging percentage (.450) and batting average (.376). He was one of two Warriors to start all 52 games this season. Updegrave was voted First-Team All-Cascade Conference.
The left-handed hitter ranks eighth in single-season home runs and fourth in a career. His 175 RBI in his career ranks seventh.
