BOISE, ID – Hunters hoping to secure a tag for one of Idaho’s controlled hunts in 2025 have until midnight tonight, Wednesday, June 5, to submit their applications. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is reminding applicants that controlled hunts offer chances at some of the state’s most sought-after big game tags, including deer, elk, pronghorn, swan, and fall black bear and turkey.
Only hunters with a valid 2025 Idaho hunting license are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted online at gooutdoorsidaho.com.
For more information, hunters are encouraged to review the 2025 Big Game Seasons and Rules booklet and complete their Mandatory Hunter Report after each season to support data collection and future opportunities.
