Simple Minds documentary set for U.S. theatrical release

A new documentary chronicling the journey of iconic Scottish rock band Simple Minds is coming to U.S. theaters this summer. Formed in 1977, Simple Minds was founded by frontman Jim Kerr and guitarist Charlie Burchill, who remain the only original members in the current lineup.

Per Deadline, Greenwich Entertainment has acquired the North American distribution rights for Simple Minds: Everything is Possible, directed by Joss Crowley.  The film – described as “the unlikely story of an extraordinary band” – traces the group’s rise from working-class beginnings in post-industrial Glasgow to global stardom, including their legendary performance at Live Aid. The documentary also highlights their continued presence on the international touring scene. Crowley says the film captures how music brought the band together and transformed their lives—”precisely the inspirational touchpoints we’re all craving in 2025.”

Simple Minds: Everything is Possible debuts in U.S. theaters on June 13.  Details are available at simpleminds.com.
