LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston School District has announced the hiring of four new school leaders who will begin their roles for the 2025–26 academic year.
Ryan Wessels and Annette Province have been named Assistant Principals at Lewiston High School, while Amanda Remacle has been selected as Principal of McSorley Elementary, and Linde Heckler will serve as Principal of Orchards Elementary.
Wessels, a native of Nezperce, Idaho, brings more than a decade of leadership development experience from the Idaho Department of Lands. He emphasized his commitment to student success and building community at LHS.
“I look forward to seeing the incredible learning happening in every classroom and supporting our students and families,” Wessels said.
Province, who joins Wessels at LHS, stated her goal is to promote a strong school culture where both educators and students feel inspired.
“I want every educator to feel the same deep passion I do for the success of each young person that walks through our doors,” Province said.
At McSorley Elementary, Remacle expressed enthusiasm about joining the school and continuing the district’s mission.
“I am excited to join the wonderful team at McSorley and continue the district’s work of ensuring high levels of learning for all students,” she said.
Heckler, who has been active in Idaho’s education system since 2009, will lead Orchards Elementary. She highlighted the importance of meeting students’ needs to support learning and belonging.
“I want our students to feel safe, a sense of belonging, and that we are committed to their success,” Heckler said.
District officials said they are confident these new leaders will enhance the educational experience across the schools they serve.
