PULLMAN, WA – New Washington State University President Betsy Cantwell has closed another administrative office as she works to streamline the institution.
The Office of strategy, Planning and Analysis will be closing as its Vice President Chris Hoyt will be retiring. This is the second administrative office that Cantwell has closed since she arrived at WSU this spring. She previously shuttered the WSU Pullman Chancellor’s Office which was created under former President Kirk Schulz when he promoted himself to systemwide president.
Hoyt is a WSU alumna who spent more than 30 years working at the institution. She worked in the president’s office, the regents office and in central administration. She retires at the end of the month.
