CHELAN COUNTY, WA — Investigators from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) continue to analyze crime scene evidence and review lab results as the search for triple homicide suspect Travis Decker remains active.
In a June 17 update, CCSO confirmed that the investigation has entered a deeper phase of evidence processing and lead development. While search operations remain underway throughout the backcountry of Chelan and Kittitas Counties, detectives are now working closely with lab analysts to interpret forensic materials, digital data, and interview follow-ups.
The search effort remains collaborative. The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, the Washington Army National Guard (WA ANG), and the U.S. Marshals Service are all contributing resources. WA ANG personnel are supporting aerial surveillance, air transport, and coordination of remote-area operations. CCSO’s own Air Support Unit and Search and Rescue teams continue to assist with terrain-specific operations.
Meanwhile, CCSO has released digitally altered images of Decker to show how he may have changed his appearance. The public is urged to study these images carefully. Decker is considered dangerous and may be armed. He was last seen wearing a tan or green t-shirt and dark shorts.
