MOSCOW, ID – Moscow Rural Fire Department Volunteers extinguished a wildfire that burned some timber East of Moscow Monday afternoon.
Units were called to the blaze off Crumarine Loop Road shortly after 12:00. Chief Brian Nickerson says the fire likely started by a spark from a farm implement that was being used in the field. The flames spread to a stand of timber. The fire burned about 8 acres.
Bennett Lumber Company fire crews and Idaho Department of Lands firefighters were called in to help douse the flames.
