Public Memorial Service for Decker Sisters set for Friday

WENATCHEE, WA – A public memorial will be held this Friday, June 20, to honor Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia Decker, three young sisters who tragically died in late May. The memorial will take place at Rocky Reach Park, located at 5000 State Highway 97A, at 7:00 PM.

“We invite our community to gather in love and remembrance,” said Amy Edwards, an organizer for the memorial.

Attendees are encouraged to wear purple, pink, and green – the favorite colors of the girls. Those attending should also bring a chair or blanket to sit on, as well as a candle and glow stick for the service.

Details about the Event:

  • Location: Rocky Reach Park, 5000 State Highway 97A, Wenatchee, WA

  • Time: Friday, June 20 at 7:00 PM

  • Items to Bring: A chair or blanket, a candle, and a glow stick. Water is also encouraged.

  • Parking/Shuttle: Limited on-site parking is available. Shuttles will be running from Old Station at the Confluence Technology Center (starting at 5:30 PM) and from Lincoln Elementary (departing at 6:00 PM). Guests are encouraged to carpool or use the Link Transit shuttle service.

The memorial comes after a tragic series of events that led to the deaths of the three girls, ages 5, 8, and 9. Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia were reported missing by their mother, Whitney, on May 30 after their father, Travis Decker, failed to return them from a scheduled visitation.

According to police, the girls were found near Decker’s vehicle at a campground site, with their wrists zip-tied. Authorities believe they died from asphyxiation. Decker, who is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping, is currently at large.
