Moscow Police K9 Team Takes 2nd Place at Regional Competition

Moscow Police Department’s K9 Ragnar and his handler, Sgt. Snyder

MOSCOW, ID – Moscow Police Department’s K9 Ragnar and his handler, Sgt. Ryan Snyder, placed second out of more than 50 narcotic detection dogs from across the Pacific Northwest at the Idaho Police Canine Association Annual Conference and Narcotics Competition.

The competition was held in Lewiston at the end of a weeklong training earlier this month. Teams were scored based on overall accuracy and detection speed.

Last year, K9 Ragnar placed third in his division during the same event. This year’s second-place finish marks an improvement for the team.

The department congratulated Sgt. Snyder and K9 Ragnar, saying the award is well deserved for their consistent hard work and dedication.
