KELLOGG, ID – A Kellogg man was taken into custody on June 20 following a multi-agency investigation that led to the seizure of methamphetamine and illegally possessed firearms at his residence.
The Shoshone County Drug Task Force, in coordination with the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office and the Kellogg Police Department, executed a search warrant at the home of Josh Hopper after conducting a months-long investigation. During the search, law enforcement officers located large quantities of methamphetamine along with four firearms that Hopper, a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing.
Hopper was arrested at the scene and booked into the Shoshone County Jail. He faces charges including trafficking methamphetamine, two counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, four counts of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
The case remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released at this time.
