Fentanyl, LSD, MDMA Seized in Massive Drug Sweep at the Gorge’s Wonderland Festival

WENATCHEE, WA. – The Columbia River Drug Task Force (CRDTF) played a key role in a large-scale narcotics operation during the Beyond Wonderland concert series at the Gorge Amphitheatre, partnering with Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) to target illegal drug activity.

According to Chief Ryan Moody, the operation included coordination between multiple agencies, including the Wenatchee Police Department, East Wenatchee Police Department, Douglas and Chelan County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Washington State Department of Corrections. The Gorge venue has a documented history of drug-related incidents during large events, prompting a proactive and strategic response.

The joint effort led to the removal of numerous illicit substances from circulation, the seizure of approximately $2,000 in cash, and three vehicles. Authorities also made 10 criminal case referrals and arrested eight individuals for drug delivery and/or possession with intent to deliver.

Seized drugs included:

  • 89 grams of cocaine

  • 49 grams of MDMA (Molly)

  • 46 grams of ketamine

  • 96 grams of psilocybin mushrooms

  • 39 grams of LSD

  • 15 grams of fentanyl

  • 20 grams of DMT

Sheriff Mike Morrison emphasized the value of regional cooperation: “This operation is a strong example of how cross-agency partnerships increase regional safety. The problems of one community do not stay isolated and often affect neighboring areas. We’re grateful for the reciprocal support we receive during critical incidents.”

The CRDTF and INET reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative enforcement strategies aimed at protecting community wellbeing and addressing the ongoing threat of illegal drugs in the region.
