CLARKSTON, WA — Alyssa Ayers, a 2019 graduate of Clarkston High School, will compete in the upcoming Mrs. American pageant in Las Vegas this August as Mrs. Kansas American 2025.
The national competition, held August 20–26 at the Westgate Resort, brings together titleholders from all 50 states and the District of Columbia to compete in interview, on-stage question, swimwear/fitness, and evening gown rounds. The Mrs. America/Mrs. American organization is the longest-running pageant for married women in the U.S.
Ayers currently lives in Kansas and works as a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor for Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City. She is also a wife and mother of two. After graduating from Southern Methodist University in 2021 with a degree in economics, she spent several years in operations and partnership roles with tech startups before transitioning into her current housing-focused career.
Ayers says she looks forward to using the national stage to advocate for affordable housing and share her own story of homeownership and financial empowerment.
She previously competed in Miss Kansas USA, placing in the Top 10 and earning the People’s Choice award. In high school, she served as DECA President and Knowledge Bowl Captain and graduated in the top 10% of her class.
The stage portion of the Mrs. American pageant will take place August 26. Streaming information will be available at www.MrsAmerica.com. Ayers is documenting her journey on Instagram at @alyssacayers.
