One Dead, Several Injured in Southern Idaho Crash

JEROME, ID – Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on U.S. Highway 93, just north of milepost 63, north of Jerome.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, a 2005 Ford Explorer, driven by a 27-year-old male from Jerome, was traveling southbound on US93. A 2012 Dodge Journey, driven by a 20-year-old female from Peru and carrying a 41-year-old passenger from Peru, was traveling northbound on US93.

According to ISP, the Ford Explorer crossed into the northbound lanes and collided with the Dodge Journey.

The driver of the Ford was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The driver and a minor passenger of the Dodge Journey were transported by air ambulance. The other passenger in the Dodge sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Both directions of US93 were blocked for approximately five hours.

The Idaho State Police were assisted at the scene by the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Jerome Rural Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
